A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters in order to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it’s exceptionally simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button for the concrete address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will let you know if you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all email address for a given domain or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it will never alter or disable anything automatically and without your consent.
